Our community hero

Over the past eight years, as well as running IT Basecamp, Brad has been pouring his energies into volunteer work at the Nowra-Culburra Surf Lifesaving Club. During this time he has been an active patrolling member as well as holding key roles such as:

  • Junior Activities Coordinator from 2013 - 2016
  • Vice Club Captain in 2017
  • Club Captain from 2018 - 2021

And in the coming 2022/23 season he is continuing his commitment to the Club as Director of Finance, Chief Training Officer, and Public Officer.

In recognition of all his efforts and hard work, a colleague at the Club nominated Brad as a '2022 Community Hero' and this has been awarded by The Hon. Shelley Hancock MP: "your dedication and oversight of the Nowra-Culburra Club accompanied with your outstanding contribution to training makes you extremely deserving and you should be extremely proud of this recognition."

ITBasecamp acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of the country in this area and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. The South Coast of New South Wales where we live is Yuin country but indigenous people here come from a number of different groups including Brinja-Yuin, Budawang, Jerrinja, Murramarang, Walbunja, Wandandian and Wodi Wodi. We recognise their continuing connection and contribution to this land.
